"Brilliant specially at half price, husband so impressed he wanted a pair ordered straight away."
Thelma Nye

"Have to give these a 5 for delivery alone. Ordered at 2pm on Tuesday-delivered to the door at 3pm on Wednesday. That's what I call service! As for the boots. They look and feel fine. I usually take a 6 but ordered a 5. Plenty room and no nipping my broadish feet. Could possibly be a smidge wider at the tops. They are a bit heavy but hey, they are winter boots. "
Jenny Macdonald

"I bought a green pair about 3 years ago in a size 5. (I am a 4.5) There is plenty of room in the foot area so thicker socks can be worn if needed. These boots are brilliant, I wear them at the livery yard, in the field, the garden and most definitely in the snow and ice, and when it's raining all year round. Just about to buy an second pair as I have a small split on the top of the rubber foot part. Not bad considering they have been worn constantly for about 9 months of each of the 3 years. Can't decide between slate or brown!!"

"Fantastic! Practical and very comfortable... but check on the sizing as these come in VERY large. I am usually a 9 but they were too big so I used CTs excellent returns service (both deliveries were a 24 turnaround) and got an 8... also meant I got my preferred choice of colour too ;-) "
Julianne Phillips

"these boots do run a bit big, i'm usually a size 8 but the 7 has plenty room even with big socks. however, they are a little narrow for my leg and the velcro doesn't quite reach across but other than that they are lovely boots, really cosy. looking forward to having warm feet this winter "
Lindsey

"I am usually a size 5, but as I have wide feet, it was lovely to find a boot that was wider than average. but as i equally have larger calves, I thought a size 6 would fit. on getting them, my feet were nice and comfortable but the boots felt like they were cutting my blood supply off at the top, as they would not do up. sent them back and tried the next size up. Same thing. I was very disapointed. I would like to see not just wide fitting shoes, but boots with wider than average boot tops."
Alison Durrant

"You really need to size UP with these boots as they seem small. I am between a 4 and a 5 and after reading the reviews bought a size 5 which I have changed for a 6 as it was so small. I am now wondering wether or not to get a size 7 as I had hoped to put an additional warm insole in and the size 6 is even too small to allow me to do this. Unfortunately the colour I want in the 7 has now sold out!. I am trying them on with a winter boot sock but then I presume everyone else would be too. This might be why the larger sizes have run out. Good luck as the sizing is tricky and you need to pay your own return postage so getting it correct in as few shots as possible is essential."

"Very happy with the boots agree with comments regarding possible down sizing one size. My main complaint is that after only 5 months of use walking the dog 1 boot has already worn through just above the heels and now leaks. Not much good when walking the dog in the rain now. So for me the ribbing around the heals needs to be sturdier."

"These boots are absolutely brilliant. I've just ordered and received my 6th pair. The style changes with the years - my first pair about 4 years ago were front zip, subsequent ones were side zip, the latest are front zip again. But they are all comfy, roomy, waterproof and very warm. What more do you need for walking the dog in a wet, muddy or snowy park in winter...? I have recommended these boots to so many people who have also bought them and love them that I ought to be on commission by now! "
Olga Hubicka

"I have had 3 pairs of these boots before, mainly for dog walking in the winter they are warm, waterproof and have very good grip. I ordered a new pair and they arrived today,I'm so disappointed the coloured top is not real suede like my earlier boots, it is nasty fake suede. I hope they as comfortable as previous boots. I would have given a 5 rating but cannot because of the fake suede."

"I was given a pair of these by my mum a couple of years ago for Christmas. I have walked miles in the snow in the last couple of years and although they are slightly large there is plenty of room for thick socks to keep your toes even warmer. They are perfect for standing in the mud on the sidelines of the football / rugby pitch watching my son and whilst everyone else's feet freeze in their wellies mine stay perfectly warm in these boots. I've bought some for my mum and husband for christmas this year."
Sharon Carter

"I bought a pair of these boots about six years ago and they have just started splitting a bit. Not bad going considering I've worn them on long walks with the dog, and around the stables in the mud. I ordered a replacement pair yesterday and they arrived today. Fit beautifully and the lining is so soft and warm, if anything an improvement on previous pair. Great service and value for money, I loved Cotton Traders Footwear!"

"Well pleased, especially as they were half price at the local branch.Very warm and quite light to wear. Some people say they come big, I take size 9 shoe normally and would have needed a 10 to account for thicker socks, actually bought size eleven so I could wear two pairs of thick socks.I bought them for fishing so obviously sit still for long periods which accentuats the cold.Would have been pleased at the full price of £45. have not tried them sub zero temperatures yet but no worries. Think I would struggle to beat them at the price....Purchased October 2011 "

"First of all have to say a big thanks to previous reviewers as I tend to lean towards buying size 7 in boots to give extra toe wiggle room - but after reading advice opted for 6 and theyre ample;perfect even. Same grip and weatherproof protection as short wellies but great build quality, much cosier, warmer,&comfier with the fur lining. At 1/2price I have no complaints whatsoever!"

"I have bought 11 pairs of these fantastic boots so far. All my family now own a pair. I have recommended them to loads of people. Last year when we were snowed in they were the only boots that gripped on the ice. They are so warm and roomy. The only problem was this Christmas I bought the largest size for my son-in-law ie. size 12 (he is size 13) and they were too small! I was gutted as they usually come up too big! They are very good quality."

"fabulous boots that I have worn every day for months - have survived daily dog walks and are great muck boots at the stables. They are very warm but they do come up quite big so if you are between sizes - go down a size..."

"These boots are brilliant. Got for a Christmas present last year and wore them all through the snow in Jan and Feb and haven't had them off my feet for the last month! "
Esther Buckley

"I bought these boots a week ago in a size 5. I'm normally between a 5 and a 6, and on reading reviews that they were quite big thought 5 might fit better. The size 5 still seems to be slightly too large, which I think might be why I'm having issues with them. They seem really comfy, but after wearing them for a while, especially walking in them, they start to rub my feet on both my heels and the outside of my ankles. It might be because they are still pretty new and they are quite stiff boots, plus the fact they move around slightly from being loose. Apart from that I really like them, they look really nice and are fluffy all the way down to the toes, so definitely keep my feet cosy, and are great my keeping my feet dry. If they don't stop rubbing though, I'll regret giving up on them. "
Sarah Tullie

"I ordered a pair of these boots size 9. This is half a size larger than I need because my foot is 8.5, but it does not come in half sizes. When I got them they were WAY too big, I could walk out of them. Now I have to pay for the return, and if I get a size 8 replacement and that is too small, I will have to pay to return that as well! So I recommend that if you are a half size you get the smaller size - if you want to take the risk!"

"Excellent value. My husband and I purchased a pair each in the summer oof 2009 at one of your outlet stores mainly for walking the dog in bad weather. However, little did we know how useful theywould be when we had the terrible snow in December/Hanuary 2010. We hardly every had them off our feet and we had no difficulty negotiating slippy pavements and a few inches of snow. My husband has even worn his for gardening as they are so much comfier than wellingtons. We liked them so much we have bought a further pair each whilst they are on offer and other members of our family ar egoing to buy some too."
Heather Simpson

"I got these boots for around the stable yard. They have a brilliant grip and are the warmest boots I've ever owned! So easy to get on and off also."
Rebecca

"bought 2 pair of these boots fantastic value very warm and comfortable best boots we have owned bought these at offer price but I am now buying a friend a pair at the full price because they are worth it "
Judy Petrie

"I bought these boots in green on line on special offer.I loved the look of these boots and they were instantly comfortable. I didn't wear them immediately as I bought them when the weather was good. They were great at first when the weather was bad in 2009, but it wasn't long before one of the zips stopped catching and I felt that by this time it was too late to return them. Having said that, I am still wearing them this winter although it's the velcro that is holding the dodgy boot together. It's a shame because I still love the look of the boot and they've stopped doing it in green."
angela

"I bought these from an outlet shop in 2008 they are still going strong. Better than wellingtons they keep your feet dry and warm. The only other comment I would make is that you really need to go down a size, I take a regular 7 but the 6 is ample even with thick socks on. A really good boot."
Kathleen Gibson

"I WAS GIVEN A PAIR OF THESE BOOTS 2 YEARS AGO AS A XMAS PRESENT TO WEAR AT THE STABLES I HAVE WORN THEN CONTINUALLY FOR TWO WINTERS AND THEY ARE STILL GOING STRONG MY FEET ARE ALWAYS WARM AND DRY MY FREIND BOUGHT A SIMILAR PAIR FROM A SHOE SHOP BUT THEY SPLIT AFTER A COUPLE OF WEEKS THESE BOOTS ARE A GODSEND IN THE WINTER."
